UPDATED – Charles “Locky” Nimick, Deputy Chief of the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO) is our featured guest to our AILA chapter's next dinner meeting on Wed. Feb. 28, 2018. Mr. Nimick has held senior positions with both USCIS and EOIR for over 20 years and has a broad range of expertise. We continue to be fortunate to have such experienced government representatives share their time and insights with us.  The dinner will be from 6 to 9pm at Carmine's in Chinatown, 425 7th Street NW, Washington DC.  Please note: Carmine’s is a “family style” restaurant serving a variety of options; specific dinner requests may be accommodated on request but vegetarian and other options will be available. This dinner meeting is a rare and great opportunity for members to hear updates and tips directly from the AAO, and ask the AAO questions on bond breaches, I-140 appeals and revocations, and appeals of 212(h) waivers and I-129 petitions among other issues. Send agenda items to D.C. Drake, at vice-chair@ailadc.org. Registrations accepted until close of business Monday, February 26, 2018. $10 Late fee applies after close of business TODAYCourtesy of the D.C. Chapter Dinner Committee, Ashley Ham Pong, Nicole Wilson, and Nathalie Fassie.
